NAGOYA (Japan), 18 September 2026 — both semi-final groups of the men's individual event at the Asian Games have been completed. The nine best athletes from each group, based on points for fencing, swimming, obstacle course and laser-run, advance to the final on 20 September. All four Kazakh athletes reached the final.

Group A (18 participants)

  • Tikhon Varyokhin — 4th place (1,520 points)
  • Temirlan Abdraimov — 7th place (1,507 points)

Group B (18 participants)

  • Lev Chuvashov — 5th place (1,520 points)
  • Kirill Stadnik — 8th place (1,486 points)

Kazakhstan thus achieved a rare result: all seven athletes — the four men and the three women who reached the final the day before — have advanced to the individual finals at the Asian Games.
